So whether you are planning a road trip to Pittsburgh or a week in Florida, there is most likely an art, history or heritage museum you can visit for free.

- Be moved by stories of perseverance in What We Carried: Stories by Iraqi Refugees at The Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center through June 26.
- Discover how Yiddish theater culture blossomed on Manhattan’s Lower East Side by visiting the New York’s Yiddish Theater: From the Bowery to Broadway on view at the Museum of the City of New York through July 31
- And through July 3, rediscover creative pioneers at the Polk Museum of Art’s Rebels With A Cause exhibition featuring the works of 250 mid-19th to mid-20th century women artists in Lakeland, Florida
