VOLUNTEERS WELCOMED: Consider Becoming a Maltz Museum Docent

Guided Tour at the Maltz MuseumWe are looking for enthusiastic and curious individuals to become a part of the Maltz Museum’s volunteer community as docents.  By helping museum-goers get more out of their visit, docents are an essential part of the guest experience.  Guiding tours is enriching and educational, a creative way to continue lifelong learning while supporting the Museum’s work.  Docents are given behind-the-scenes exhibition information from curators, professors and other subject matter experts.  They also have opportunities to meet new people and make new friends.

Please consider joining our volunteer community for this rewarding experience and learn about art, the rich cultural heritage of the Jewish people, Northeast Ohio history and a variety of other topics. Our volunteer docent training program begins in July and will focus on learning to lead tours of our permanent collection.  If you are interested, the orientation session is scheduled for Thursday, July 7 at 6pm.

For more information or to sign up to attend, please contact me at 216.593.0587 or wbane@mmjh.org.
