Arresting black-and-white photographs from the Center for Documentary Expression and Art offer a stirring look at turmoil and triumphs during a critical moment in the country’s history. This Light of Ours exposes the struggle against race-based disenfranchisement through the works of nine photographers who were part of the Southern Freedom Movement and documented the experiences of people who stood up to change America.
