Next year, the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage will honor Alexander M. Cutler, Chairman and CEO, Eaton, with The Maltz Heritage Award. The award acknowledges Mr. Cutler’s leadership in creating a culture of inclusion and diversity at Eaton. Earlier this year, at the inaugural event, the award was given to Delos M. Cosgrove, MD and the Cleveland Clinic. The Maltz Heritage Award will be presented to Mr. Cutler at a fundraiser dinner held on May 22, 2014. Location and start time to be determined.
Alexander M. Cutler is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Eaton. He has been with the company for 38 years, assuming his current position on August 1, 2000. He graduated from Yale University and the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College from which he earned an MBA. He serves on the boards of DuPont, KeyCorp, the Greater Cleveland Partnership, United Way Services of Greater Cleveland, and the Musical Arts Association. He also chairs the Corporate Governance Committee of the Business Roundtable and is a member of The Business Council.
The Maltz Heritage Award is presented to a person and/or organization that demonstrates leadership in the Northeast Ohio community and whose values align with the mission of the Museum – to build bridges of tolerance and understanding with those of other religions, races, cultures, and ethnic backgrounds. The Heritage Award reflects values of leaving a legacy from generation to generation.
