This Holiday Season at the Maltz

(December 13, 2011) Cleveland, OH – This holiday season brings the close of 2011 and of the Maltz Museum’s current special exhibition.  It also brings the joyful return of one of the Museum’s most popular programs.

 

Hardship to Hope will end its successful run on Sunday, January 1. Working with Cleveland State University, Karamu House, the Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland Artists Foundation, Western Reserve Historical Society and a private collection, the Museum gathered more than sixty-five pieces, art and artifacts that open a window to a turbulent and creative time in Cleveland. In the 1930’s, many talented artists and performers would find their callings, learn and teach their skills, and develop confidence, contacts and friendships at the Playhouse Settlement of the Neighborhood Association. Read more

 

Returning to the Maltz on December 25: Chinese Food and a Movie.  One of the Museum’s most popular Family Fun Days, the afternoon is filled with award-winning family-friendly films, art & crafts projects, games, tours, and those traditional “Jewish delicacies” – egg rolls and fortune cookies! No reservations needed. All free with Museum admission! $12 (Adults); $10 (Seniors 60+ and Students 12+); $5 (Children 5-11); Museum Members and Children under the age of 5 are admitted free. Programs begin at 1pm; Museum open 11am – 5pm
