Hanukkah Olive Oil Press

Participants make real olive oil, pitting fresh, raw olives, pressing them in hand-powered presses, spinning them in high-speed centrifuges, then taking home a lil’ jug of self-made oil for the Hanukkah Menorah!

$5 General Admission, Free for Members

Come by the Maltz Museum for a Hanukkah celebration and an unforgettable experience!

Participants will take part in the following activities and experiences:

  • Press fresh olives into , blending ancient tradition with modern science
  • Take home a little jug of oil you pressed yourself to light your Menorah for the final night of Chanukah!
  • Color your own wooden Dreidel
  • Nosh on Chanukah “gelt” (dairy & pareve)
  • Screening of the inspiring Chanukah, animated film “Lights”
  • Sing Hanukkah songs
