Maltz Films Presents: Just Mercy (2019) | Wednesday, September 16 at 6:30 PM

What does justice really cost, and who pays the price when the system gets it wrong? Just Mercy tells the gripping true story of civil rights attorney Bryan Stevenson's fight to free Walter McMillian, an innocent man on death row, in a film that is as urgent as it is unforgettable. This screening is presented in partnership with the Maltz Museum’s Stop the Hate® program, championing students who are building a more inclusive, equitable future, and The Marshall Project, the nonpartisan newsroom shining a light on the realities of America's criminal justice system. Together, they bring the film's story into sharp, present-day focus, with a discussion following the film that connects the dots between Just Mercy's narrative and the ongoing fight against wrongful convictions and systemic inequity. Come for a story that will stay with you, and stay for a conversation about the work still ahead.
