What did Americans know about Nazi Germany and the Holocaust at the time? What more could have been done to help Europe’s Jews? Join us to learn about the motives, pressures, and fears that shaped Americans’ responses to Nazi Germany. And get a behind-the-scenes look at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s Americans and the Holocaust exhibition, which inspired the recent PBS documentary, The U.S. and the Holocaust, directed by Ken Burns, Lynn Novick, and Sarah Botstein.

Featured Speaker Dr. Daniel Greene
Dr. Greene is Adjunct Professor of History at Northwestern University and a Subject Matter Expert at the US Holocaust Memorial Museum.
