The Diary Keepers offers firsthand accounts selected from over 2,000 diaries written during World War II, illuminating the diversity of experiences during these extraordinary times. From the stories of a Nazi-sympathizing police officer to a Jewish journalist documenting activities at a transport camp, this landmark work offers a new understanding of the nature of resistance, the workings of memory, and how we commemorate and revisit the past.
