CANCELLED: Protecting American Participation: A Discussion on Safeguarding Voting Rights
Wednesday, February 15, 7pm
In-person
This program has been cancelled
The Voting Rights Act of 1965 guaranteed the right of every American to vote, but nearly sixty years later in 2022, that right continues to be challenged. Low-income voters, voters of color, rural voters, and formerly incarcerated voters are disproportionately impacted. In Ohio, nonprofit and grassroot organizations are working tirelessly to ensure voting rights for residents and that every vote counts. Join panelists Collin Marozzi of ACLU Ohio, Alexis Crosby of Campus Voting Project, Jennifer Carter of Northeast Ohio Voter Advocates (NOVA), and Daniel Ortiz of Policy Matters to discuss and discover how agents for positive change are protecting Ohioan’s access to the ballot and protecting every voter’s right to participate.
