“This Improvised Life” combines some of Cleveland’s best storytellers with some of Cleveland’s best improvisers to give you a blend of comedy, spontaneity, and heart you won’t find anywhere else in town. Using the theme of “family & identity,” two storytellers will share a true story from their lives based on a prompt they’ve received. The performers will hear the story for the first time along with the audience and perform scenes based on each story. This energizing comedic show that can’t help but pull at audience heartstrings was created by Deena Nyer Mendlowitz and has been running for over 10 years. With changing casts and prompts, no two shows are ever the same. After the show, stick around to talk with Deena and fellow performers, including Marissa DeSantis and C.J. Cobbto, to discuss the role activism plays in their comedy and art.
