Emerging Leaders Explore the Maltz Museum

LEADSTal Rothstein, Young Leadership Director for the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, organized the kick-off meeting of Leadership Education Development Series (LEADS) at the Maltz Museum on Monday.  LEADS is designed to foster professional and a volunteer leadership skills.

The group was welcomed by Hadas Binyamini, Coordinator of Student Learning & Engagement at the Maltz Museum. Binyamini is also part of M-Cubed, the Museum’s young professionals group.

After enjoying light refreshments from Jerusalem Grill, the 31 LEADS participants were divided into teams and entered the Museum galleries.  Each team was assigned to accomplish three specific tasks:

  • Name an individual represented in the Museum who a group member knew or had heard of in the community and explain the connection
  • Describe an institution or organization highlighted in the Museum to which a group member felt personally connected and elaborate on that relationship
  • Describe a theme or exhibition item to which a group member felt personally connected

LEADSAfter spending time in the galleries, the teams reconvened to share their findings with one another.  This was the first visit to the Maltz Museum for many of these talented young people and we look forward to having them return soon.
