Aug 12: Jewish Food & Culture Festival, Free Admission

5th Annual Jewish Food and Culture Festival

Free Admission and Good Eats at the Maltz Museum

Since 2005, the Maltz Museum has upheld its mission to build bridges of tolerance and understanding by sharing Jewish heritage through the lens of the American experience. On Sunday, August 12 the Museum would like to share a bowl of matzo ball soup with you at its Jewish Food and Culture Festival.

Now in its fifth year, this annual event brings to life the many tastes of Jewish living yesterday and today. Join the Maltz Museum for a fun-filled day of treats, live music courtesy of The Workmen’s Circle and Park Synagogue Children’s klezmer bands,  a film screening of the documentary Old Jews Telling Jokes and the Marx Brothers classic Room Service, and fun & games for the whole family!

Enjoy delicious homemade treats and food donated by Mr. Brisket, Orlando Baking Company, Marc’s, Aladdin’s Eatery/Cleveland Heights, Whole Foods, and Corky & Lenny’s.  New this year, is a “Kosher Korner” featuring items from Green Road Catering and Lax & Mandel.  Raffle items include celebrity signed mustard bottles and Cleveland Indians tickets.  Food tickets available for 50 cents each (advance sales strongly encouraged). Free Admission to all Museum galleries and special entertainment.
